This week was chef's kiss in the most unexpected ways. While I'm typically a "measure with your heart" cook rather than a by-the-book baker, sometimes the craving hits and I had been HAUNTED by blueberry muffin cravings all week. Then Alison Roman dropped her recipe the day after I loaded up on blueberries, so of course I had to whip up a few batches. And of course went full food-as-love with some care packages to friends because honestly, is there anything better than gifts of food?

We also got around to a few more upgrades around the house and I'm not being dramatic when I say our place feels 37% more grown-up and 100% more aligned with Reggie's aesthetic preferences.

Also, my heart EXPLODED seeing how many of you tackled the croque monsieur monkey bread over Easter weekend! Your messages had me feeling like a proud bread mom.

this weeks recipe: sticky BBQ tofu and street corn bowls

⏱️ TOTAL: 45 mins | PREP: 30 mins | COOK: 10 mins

I like to think I’ve been a tofu evangelist for years now, and I'm not sorry about it. The number of former tofu-skeptics who've messaged me "OMG I MADE YOUR TOFU THING" is honestly one of my greatest flexes. I love tofu for so many reasons: it lasts in your fridge for what feels like forever (love an ingredient that doesn't demand immediate attention), it’s so much more affordable than most meats, and is basically a blank canvas for whatever flavor chaos you want to throw at it.

Why I love this recipe?

This recipe is wildly riffable and absolutely meal-prep gold. I don’t always love prepping chicken cause microwaved chicken causes an ick for me personally as I find it takes on an odd flavor (I’m sensitive though 😢). Instead, this tofu bowl delivers all those hearty, satisfying vibes without the sad desk lunch energy. Double or triple batch this bad boy and you've got your life together for 3-4 days straight. The best part? Since everything's separate, you can mix-and-match depending on your mood. Monday-you and Thursday-you probably want different things, and I respect that journey. Peep the riff section below 👀
